Malcolm Fuller
Malcolm Fuller joined the Royal Navy at Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth in 1966 and spent the majority of his early career in the Fleet Air Arm. He spent two years on exchange as an Air Traffic Control Officer with the Federal German Navy at FGNS Jagel in Schelswig-Holstein from 1975 to 1977. As well as the County Class destroyer HMS Kent, he served in the aircraft carrier HMS Eagle for the final commission and HMS Invincible for her first. He was a member of the Fleet Warfare Staff at Northwood from 1980 to 1983 before attending Staff College. He later commanded HMS Shetland in the Offshore Division of the Fishery Protection Squadron. In 1988 he was appointed to the Ministry of Defence and his final appointment in the Royal Navy was at the Southern Area Officer of the Sea Cadet Corps. Upon leaving the Service in 1995 he joined the Sea Cadet Association as Company Secretary, subsequently being appointed Managing Director in 1999. From 2001 to 2008 he worked in Central Government as the General Manager of the Youth Justice Board, a non-departmental public body dealing with youth justice issues.
